Here at Small Town Craft Spirits, we have a knack for taking beloved classics and adding that subtle, unexpected twist. Better yet, we make it taste good.

You may have seen the Not Your Father’s name before. We began as Small Town Brewery where we introduced the familiar Not Your Father’s Root Beer. What started as an experimental local brew transformed into a nationally loved beer that gained so much traction, additional flavors were introduced. After mastering the brewing process, we decided to tackle distilling, with Not Your Father’s Bourbon being our first foray into spirits.

Small Town Craft Spirits internalizes small town American values – passion, pride, and ingenuity – and incorporates them into every aspect of distillation.

The Bourbon

Let’s be honest: it’s cool to drink bourbon. But is it actually enjoyable? Up for debate. So we crafted an approachable bourbon for everyone with a finish so smooth, it’s suspicious.

This is the part where we could go on and on about the quality ingredients, the distilling process, blah blah blah… but you’ve seen that all before, haven’t you? So we’ll get straight to the point: Not Your Father’s Bourbon is 86 proof, with a touch of Madagascar vanilla to enhance the flavor, not mask it. But we’ll let the bourbon speak for itself, and we gotta say – it’s quite the smooth talker. So give it a try and bring your friends. We finally made a bourbon for everyone.



1 oz Not Your Father’s Bourbon
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 tbsp Honey
1 Star Anise
1 Lemon slice

– Pour Not Your Father’s Bourbon bourbon and honey into a mug
– Top with boiling water, stir until honey dissolves
– For extra flavor, add lemon, cinnamon sticks, and star anise. Go nuts.



2 oz Not Your Father’s Bourbon
1 bottle Not Your Father’s Root Beer
Vanilla Ice Cream

-Add 2-4 scoops of ice cream (depending on how your day’s going)
into a large float glass or stein
-Pour bottle of Not Your Father’s Root Beer over ice cream
-Add Not Your Father’s Bourbon



2 oz Not Your Father’s Bourbon
Egg white from 1 egg
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup

-Add Not Your Father’s Bourbon, egg white, lemon juice, and simple syrup into cocktail shaker
– Add ice, shake- really put some
elbow grease into it
– Strain into a glass, revel at your creation



2 oz Not Your Father’s Bourbon
8 Mint leaves
Lemon wedges
¼ TBSP simple syrup

– Muddle mint, simple syrup and lemon wedges in cocktail shaker
– Add bourbon, fill shaker with ice and stir
– Strain into glass with ice, adding additional mint and lemon
for garnish- if you’re into that kinda thing



2oz Not Your Father’s Bourbon
1/2 tsp simple syrup
Angostura bitters

– In a rocks glass, combine the simple syrup and bitters
– Add Not Your Father’s Bourbon, stir
– Add ice to your liking
– Maybe throw an orange twist in there, why not?



2 oz Not Your Father’s Bourbon
4 oz Cola
Bourbon infused cherries

– Fill small jar with cherries, cover with Not Your Father’s Bourbon, let sit for at least 24 hours
– Fill glass with ice, add cherries
– Pour cola, followed by Not Your Father’s Bourbon
– Stir it up, drink it down
